Assigning styles to buttons (2000 SR-1)

I have defined a style (formatstyle) called input and want to assign it to a (custom) button how can I do this without writing a macro.? i.e. it would work like the standard % button

As far as I know, the only way is to write a macro that applies the style to the active cell or the selection and then assign that macro to the button.

You might also want to check out the existing styles button. It is under the Format category when customizing toolbars. It offers a drop down list of ALL styles in the file.
