We seem to have a loopback of some sort.
Clicking on 16 or next page sends me back to the start of page 15, so I don't get to see post 226.

However this post now appears as 226! And on page 16.

It will not enable spell checking on any of the other forums, nor will it be persistent when you return to the forum it worked in.

I have Firefox set to check spelling and my spelling is checked in all the forum threads I have typed replies to.
hmm it seems to be random problem, I checked the settings and spell checker is enabled , BTW I am using WaterFox (the 64bit ver of Firefox) will post again if i can find some kind of repeatable pattern to the problem.

    cheers

I have purchased a number of your books over the years and have found them to be more helpful than any put out by Microsoft. Thanks, Woody.

I would like to see the ability to reply to a comment - helps to keep replies in a long thread in context.

You can now. Use the "Reply with Quite" to handle what you. This is commonly used in most forums.

Hello PCGuru, and welcome to the Lounge,

If you just want to reply to a line or two in a large post, you can also highlight, copy, and then paste the text into the Quick Reply box. You can then highlight the text you just pasted and click the small white button on the far right of the Quick Reply button bar. When you hover your mouse over this button, you will see "Wrap [Quote] tags around selected text". Click it and you will see the results. when you post it, you will see your copied text as a quoted comment, as in the following:

Naturally, Reply With Quote, as HiTechCoach used, is more efficient when you want to quote the entire post. With the procedure I outlined, you can quote just one or more comments from a rather long post.

If you mean start a thread of your own then navigate to the forum which seems most appropriate for the issue you have and use the "Post New Thread" button immediately below the "breadcrumbs" navigation and above the forum title.

Well as a new, newcomer, maybe I am just thick but how in the name of sanity do you post a simple enquiry. Yes, I do know how to spell enquiry. Not all your readers are cursed with US spelling. As a long standing reader and supporter of Windows Secrets, I would like to use this service but so far it is eluding me.

You moved one of my posts because it was a "reply" and should have been a new topic. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a button for a new topic. Any hints? Maggietoo9
