Live Mesh Beta Replacement for XP

I am an avid user of Live Mesh Beta, using it to keep files synced between my desktop and laptop as well as access my desktop remotely. I'm running XP Pro and XP Home on the two systems so I cannot move up to the new Live Mesh 2011.

I will be upgrading to Windows 7 on a new desktop machine shortly so I am going to be effectively losing Live Mesh Beta before it turns off for good in March of 2011.

Is there anything out there that offers the same benefits of file syncing and remote access in a single package for those of us with this sort of mixed OS issues?

Windows Live Mesh is still available. See Windows Live Essentials 2011 - Download free Microsoft programs.

I'm in a similar situation... I've moved to Syncplicity and, while not quite as slick, is a great replacement for file sharing and syncing.

Thanks, I looked at the site. Does Syncplicity support remote access/control of a computer?

Correct and since I would only be updating one of the PCs to Win7, I'm kind of stuck.

Sync Toy has been described as good by some forum users and it is available for XP. Maybe have a look to see if it pleases you: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en
