Can not display a field (column) MSP 2007

I can hide columns but not display a hidden column - Gantt Chart view. Error message "You cannot modify a table using the TableEdit method in a view that is not a sheet view" then "The view or report cannot be displayed because table "" on which it is based has been deleted.
This Plan has been is use for a few years (long term project) but this problem just occurred.
The only event that I can link to this problem is that I maintain the plan is MSP 2007 but I opened and updated the plan at home in MSP 2010 then saved as 2007 just before this problem occurred.

This appears to be a Project 2010 to 2007 conversion issue. I was able to restore the Insert Column functionality in the 2007 version by swithcing to View, Table:Entry, Entry view then inserting a column. AFter that I was able to insert columns in Gantt Chart view
