    Curses !!!!

This may sound strange but must have some kind of explanation...

Over the past few years I have always used the pen cursor shown in the attached image.
Also, I have always had intermittent problems with the left mouse button double clicking when only single clicking.

I run XP and W7 on a dual boot with both OS's on separate drives.
But, when I only had XP it happened there also to the point I replaced the mouse.

Recently it started happening on Windows 7.

I mean, this has been going on for YEARS and I could never solve the problem...

So, a few weeks ago I switched my mouse cursor back to the windows default 'hand' and, viola, the problem disappeared and hasn't occurred since..

Has anyone ever heard of a cursor being the cause of inadvertent double clicks or what????? The cursor is in Windows so it's not one that was d/l from another place.

Thanks guys, looking forward to your comments....

Do you have a mouse with extra buttons that you have to load software & drivers for, like a Logitech or Microsoft mouse? That's the only I have seen behavior like that.

Thanks Fred but I'm happy with the cursors I have...
I'm not one that's big on cursors....

I seem to have read someplace that some cursors can give you problems...

Like I said earlier, since I switched back I haven't had any double click problems...
