    GoTo a specific paragraph number

    Hi gang,
    Using Word XP, I have created a document using simple paragraph numbering, no hierarchy. How can I Goto let's say the paragraph numbered 12. I looked at the Goto options and can't seem to find what I need.

    You could try a macro like this:

    Code:
    Public Sub FindParaByNumber()

       Dim strInputNum As String
       Dim aPara As Paragraph

       strInputNum = InputBox("Type the paragraph number you want to find - include punctuation such as a trailing period", "Indicate Paragraph Number")

       For Each aPara In ActiveDocument.Paragraphs
          If aPara.Range.ListFormat.ListString = strInputNum Then
             aPara.Range.Select
             Exit Sub
          End If
       Next 'aPara

    End Sub
    - this was done in Word 2007, but should work in earlier versions.
    Note that you need to enter any trailing punctuation, such as a period after the number, if it's part of the autonumber.
