    Change file extension (Outlook 2000)

I received an e-mail with an attached file from Avery tech support at my request. The file was an executable with an .exe extension when it was sent. When it arrived in my Inbox the extension was .zl9 and had a ZoneAlarm icon. I renamed the file with an .exe extension, which seemed to solve the problem. Any idea how this happened?

it's a security feature of zone alarm - i think you can disable it, but i recommend leaving it and only changing hte extensions of files you know you need and you know are safe.
