Word 2003 Automatic Spell Check File Size Limit

I am using Word 2003 on a relatively large file about 200k and Word tells me that file size for automatic spell checking has been exceeded. I am runiing Vista with 2GB Ram. Do any later versions of Word eliminate this limitation or is this a lack of Ram?

    Thanks.

If you mean 'Check Spelling as you type', then it suggests that there are far too many errors for Word to handle rather than the document is too large (a typical inaccurate error message). Most often this happens because the document has many technical expressions or abbreviations that are not included in the dictionary or perhaps it is a list of postcodes or such.

If that is the problem you are experiencing, then manual spelling using F7 is a solution or you could create a new Custom.Dic for this document and simply add them all to that.
