    Lightbulb Wayward IP address

I am no longer able to connect to my Cisco Linksys E3000 wireless router with my Gateway MX6956 laptop. I can see my router in available wireless networks with 'Strong' signal strength but when I click 'Connect' all it ever does is say 'Requesting IP address' then after a time it 'Low or no connectivity'. I connect just fine to my neighbors unsecured network (so I can post this) and my wife's laptop is running fine using my Cisco router. I verified DHCP is enabled and 'Automatically request IP address' is checked. Running WIN XP PRO with SP3 and all the latest patches. No hardware or software changes that I am aware of. Any fresh ideas?

The first thing I would do is reboot the router.
Then, on your laptop, delete the connection to the router and re-create it.

    cheers, Paul

Also, check for router firmware updates.
