    Of all the potential temporary fixes, I think blocking the MHTML protocol is the only one that won't impair normal use of IE. There is a one-click "Fixit" in the following article. I haven't tried it yet as I am currently using a different browser.

    Edit: When using a FixIt, it is helpful to also download the undo FixIt and save it somewhere, because those sometimes disappear just before you need them.
