Robotic competition and Usb for game controllers
Hi, my sons are going to compete in the FTC robotic competition for high schoolers. They control the robot wirerlessly using usb Logitech game controllers. They got a new Dell inspirion laptop to use. The problem is after they run the robot for a while the game controllers drop out, or disconnect. Sometimes they will plug one controller into one port and then when the plug in the other controller both disappear. They are using Labview software and when one screen is up it show both controllers and you can assign functions to everything but later it just stops. Can anyone point me in a direction to look to solve this? The competition is in a week.

Ensure there is no obstructive or cellular interference while on and using the wireless controller.
You might want to run a test to see if this is the case.
You might also want to check the event viewer for signs an error may have been flagged for the time the controller drops out.
You may also check through the device manager to see if there are any yellow exclamation points at the USB controller
that may indicate a faulty installation or driver.
