IE 9 Release Candidate is out

Hello Ted,

I checked out the link you provided. I tried it. First I am told I need to connect to the internet to upgrade, which I am. I try it 2 or 3 times and seems to realize then I am connected to the internet. Then it tells me it can't continue because it can't upgrade the version installed. I tried to uninstall SP 1, but seems I ran a disk cleanup after installing SP 1, the files needed to uninstall SP 1 are no longer there. I am told my only option is a complete recovery. When I have the time I may try it, but right just not worth the trouble. I appreciate your help, thanks

Hello Ted,

I am now in the process of a complete recovery. IE 32 bit is working again. I have no clue what went wrong, but I know I will not be installing IE 9 RC. Thanks agian.

I'd guess you mean "wiped out". Unless you run some third party software, you can't run more than one version of IE at a time.

So it did exactly what it is designed to do. If your OS is 64 Bit you can have both 32 Bit and 64 Bit versions of IE 8 OR 32 Bit and 64 Bit versions of IE9, not both as Joe mentioned. If your OS is 32 Bit, you can have the 32 Bit version of IE 8 OR the 32 Bit version of IE 9, again not both.
