Smile Pictures saved to Desktop in word 2007

I am having problems saving several pictures that are now stored on the desktop on a computer owned by a friend of mine. I can pull up the pictures, but cannot locate the files to transfer them to a pin drive or DVD. How do I go about finding the individual files for transfer?

    Thanks!

    Mike,

The Desktop is a shortcut to a folder that can be in different locations, depending on which version of Windows you're using. But in any version of Windows, if you open up Windows Explorer (a shortcut is: the Windows key+E) you should see an icon for the Desktop folder at the top left of the directory tree on the left. Click on that icon and you should see the contents of the Desktop folder in the pane on the right.

If you've saved the pictures to the desktop, you should be able to see them there.
