Type of pen to write on CD-ROMs?

Hello:

What type of pen should one use to write on CD-ROMs, so as not to damage the CD-ROM?

Thanks.

I use any old felt pen with no problem. You probably want to select one described as permanent, otherwise it may wipe off. They shouldn't harm the plastic.
Just don't write on the data side (unless you have a very fine tip and are good at writing 0 and 1 )

I have something called a Pilot CD Marker, which is supposed not to rub off. Needs some drying time on some cd-r's, though. Works very well on others, where a standard felt-tip doesn't.

Now that's a pen I'd like to see (with a microscope!).

..it would need a built-in laser...
I use OHP (Permanent) markers. 4 colours in a convenient package. (WHSmith for UK readers). These also work very well for waterproof writing on deep freezer containers. They're also remarkably good, for, er..Over-Head Projectors...

Well as I can find WHSmith no problem, good advice. They are online, but I don't know if they supply overseas. Would make a change to find a good price from a site, only to find that the price only applies US.

In the US of Texas we have abundant supply of Sanford Sharpie and Rub-a-Dub markers, cheap and reliable, and in every store.

I have some kind of overhead projector accessory for my my scanner. Don't even know what it's for. Anyone (ideally in Hampshire) want it?

Hi

Is that a flat-bed scanner attachment? I'm in Sussex will that do?

Don't even have a scanner but i'm guessing the accessory provides a backlight for transparencies, this means the colours will be correctly scanned.

Sorry to have taken so long to reply, but been a bit busy of late. I also had some difficulty finding the kit, which gives you an idea of how much use it's had. It is the transparency option for the AGFA Snapscan 300, 600 and 1236. Not sure what it does with the transparencies, mind.

I may be passing through Sussex some time in the not too distant future. Whereabouts are you?

Hastings. Would your gizmo fit a HP 4100C do you think?
