Lost ability to run Media Center on my XP machine

Something has happened and I can no longer run Media Center on my XP machine. It starts but just hangs. I was doing some cleanup and deleted the .net software and I think that might have done it. I have tried to reload it all the way up to NetFrame 4 but no luck.

Is there an easy way to restore just the media center part of my system.

    Thanks in advance

Go to WU and see if the .Net software you removed can be detected and reinstalled, otherwise a repair install may be needed.
You may also attempt to remove those Windows components associated with media Center from within the control panel's windows
features section. Do a full reboot and then re-enable them, otherwise a repair install may be needed.
