Arrow Keys in Word 2007

My arrow keys move the cursor very slowly in Word 2007. If I open Word up in Safe mode they work fine. Any ideas on how to fix this problem

Do you have any add-ins that are normally running in Word?
Do the arrow keys move slowly no matter which type of document you are working in, or does it only affect specific documents?

I have a COM add-in, Template add-in and a SmartTag add-in that are running in Word. It happens no matter what document I have open.

Probably the next thing to try is to disable each add-in in turn, and see if it has any effect (for instance to disable the COM add-in, in the Word Options > Add-Ins view, clickthe Go button to the right of 'Manage: COM add-ins'. remove the checkmark from the relevant add-in and click OK).
