    In Word cannot initialize

    Word
I am getting the error message: "The visual Basic Command could not initialize"
    Help says problem may be:
    Insufficient memory:I have 4 g
Insuffient disk space: I have 507 free
Corrupt Normal.dotm; I deleted it and not help.
VBE6.dll: I tried replacing it. I also tried following the knowledge base instructions, but I have a preloaded copy of office and no backup..

I am also have problems with Outlook and Excel.

    Any suggestions?
I think I would like to reinstall Office. I tried to download a backup so I could reinstall Office, but Microsoft would not accept my product key.

Do I have to uninstall Office before my product key is accepted?

If your product key has been activated too many times, you may need to phone Microsoft to get approved for more activations.

Which version of Office and which version of Windows?

Can you think of anything that changed before this problem began, such as installing new third party software, add-ons, or Windows/Office updates?

    Thanks for the reply.
I bought the computer last September with Windows 7 home premium and Office Home and Business 2010 preloaded. The store did the only activation so far.
I believe the problem arose because I was to aggressive in uninstalling programs, including Indesign CS2.

I purchased my HP in September 2010 with Windows 7 Home Premium and Office home and business 2010 preloaded. It has been activated once by the store.

Prior to the problem I un-installed some software. I think I may have been too aggressive.

In some versions of Office, you can use the icon in Add/Remove programs to repair the installation. If the program files are stored on the hard drive somewhere, then that would be possible without any downloads.

Thanks. I tried that which uninstalled Office. Tried the backup, but Microsoft would still not accept my product key, so installed the trial version. Now, Outlook cannot send receive and Word crashes when I try to open a document.

    Ridley,

Time to call Microsoft and explain your situation. They'll lead you through the process of phone activation.
