    Excel-using CountA function after filtering

I've filtered the my list to pull out the rows that I need. Then I need to count the number of rows that are shown.

But the COUNTA function returns a number much higher than the number of rows that are showing. It seems like it is counting based on the range as if the filtering was not done, so it is including in the count the rows that I filtered out.

Is there a way to count the rows that are shown after the filtering is done?

    Thanks
