    IE shortcut to desktop annoyance

When I want to create a shortcut in Internet Explorer I select Create Shortcut. The annoying thing is that Internet Explorer will always display a confirmation dialog “Do you want to put a shortcut to this website on your desktop”. Is there a way to disable this notification?

    Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone> Custom Level> Miscellaneous>
Installation of desktop items.Put the dot in>Enable.
    That should do the job.

Hopefully random web sites can't take advantage of that.
