    Lightbulb sfc /scannow

    Hello JoeP.

    Can you say if the Check Disk in Properties for the C:\ -> Tools does the same verification as the title above : sfc /scannow ?

    Seems to me that the GUI mode would be for newbees and ought to do the same service if required !

    No. CHKDSK checks the underlying file system structure of the disk. SFC checks the validity of dates/version for Windows component files.
