Question Reinstalling vs. activating Flash Pro CS5

An embarrassingly simple question, but I haven't been in this position before and want to apply the best solution so here goes...

I have been using the free trial of Flash Pro CS5, which I downloaded from their site. I purchased it, however, from a retail outlet. Am I better to just input the serial number to validate the already installed trial (which is a complete version) or uninstall the trial and install the new copy from disc?

As always, I appreciate any loungers' suggestions. This is the first Flash program I've ever used.

If the free trial is a fully functional version and there is a method to activate/authorize/validate it, I recommend doing that rather than an uninstall and reinstall.

Thanks, Joe, for your fast response! Yes, it is a fully functional version so I will just find the serial number on the purchased copy and plug it in on the appropriate screen.
