    Email Notiication of Replies

As I recall in the previous Lounge version I would get an email notification when anyone replied to one of my posts. I don't see that option in the current Lounge setup, just notification of every post to a forum. Is there a way to limit notifications to replies to one's posts?

When you "Go Advanced", you should have the option to subscribe to the thread. I haven't tested it myself.

I wonder if the email subscription applies to voting on POLLS, as well as posting to the thread? I subscribed to this thread to make sure it works, and to my poll in this section, to test that...but I've already voted; someone who hasn't yet voted could help out...thanks in advance!

If you go go to your Settings...General Settings, you can specify your Default Thread Subscription Mode. Setting it to "Instantly, using email" seems to do what you want.
That is what I use, and I receive email notifications for any replies to threads I have posted to (or started.)

Do you receive this reply by email? I don't know what else to suggest.
I (and others) have had a lot of trouble with emailing of replies, but at the moment it all works perfectly for me.
    Regards
    John

Rothie, in addition to what post#6 says, you also have to use "Thread Tools" at the top of this page to "subscribe to this thread". Then, it should work. If you already did that part, then I'm stumped.

I never do that. For me setting my Default Thread Subscription Mode is enough.

    john-
I got an email for the reply you made to me in this thread even though I didn't "subscribe to this thread".
The other thread I was referring to,is a thread that I started...I don't think I need to "subscribe" to a thread I started.
So...now I am more confused than ever.I'll look through the profile and subscription settings again, but I doubt that I will see anything I missed.

The setting I use, and the one I mentioned in post 6, automatically subscribes you to any thread you start or reply to. You replied to this thread, so you are automatically subscribed to it. You "should" be subscribed to the thread you started. Maybe if you changed the setting after you started the thread you may not be.
Create a new thread in the test forum and see what happens.
    Regards
    John
