    agentsvr.exe

When rebooting my Windows XP PC, I received a message that agentsvr.exe was not responding and was given the option of ending it, which I did. I then did a Google search for agentsvr.exe only to find many conflicting opinions as to its safety or otherwise. Some people said it was part of Microsoft Windows and was therefore harmless, others said it was part of a virus which had got onto my PC.

Does anyone have any experience of this file and its safety or otherwise? Any links to reputable sites covering this would be welcome.

If the copy agentsvr.exe you have is a legitimate copy it is OK. See the commentary at PcPitstop & File.net.
