Need tutorial for Visual Basic for Excel

    Hi
I am looking for a good tutorial so I can use Visual Basic in Excel. What do you suggest? I have programming experience from decades ago and have used Excel for years so it doesn't have to be from scratch. Any advice would be welcome.
    Thanks
    Rick

Perhaps the best advice is to record a macro in Excel; then take it apart and analyse it. There will be lots of extraneous instructions and you cannot record a loop.

There are excellent books on Excel programming. I have found that waiting until I have a problem, then finding the book with the answer is the way to go.

My favorites are anything by John Walkenbach such as “Excel 2010 Power Programming With VBA.” His Dummy book is good too. Also look at “VBA and Macros: Microsoft Excel 2010” by Bill Jelen.

I have both and John Walkenback's depth of subject, history, and approch is one of the best I have seen and this book that has over a 1,000 pages! I am reading it page for page for the full effect and have finished about 60%! This is a great book!
