I do not notice a measureable difference on my system using either 32 Bit, 64 Bit IE 9RC or Chrome 11 beta. Real world, it's tough to see any difference.

If you read the article, the differences only apply to IE 9.

Also this article explians how to get IE 9 32 bit on windows 7 or Vista 64 bit.

I have had IE 9 since the beta version and now have the RC version. If you have a 64 Bit system, when you install IE 9 RC both 32 Bit and 64 Bit versions of the browser are installed just the way IE 8 was. What I said, even after reading the articles you sited, was that in my installation I could not see a noticable different between 32 Bit and 64 Bit editions of IE 9 in my very unscientific measurements. IE 9 is much faster than IE 8 was, and is on a similar level to Chrome 11 beta (In the past Chrome was always considered much faster, but IE has caught up.)
I will be installing the RTM version on March 14th when it is released.

R u installing over RC or uninstalling and doing a clean install with the RTM? I've thoroughly enjoyed IE9 RC and look forward with great anticipation (perhaps a tad anti-climactic) but for once IE has greater appeal than even Chrome.

I have found all sorts of info about uninstalling IE9 Beta, but nothing about IE9 RC so I will await your direction :-)

See IE9 globally available for details. If you have IE9 RC, you can update via WU.

Here's a another article that benchmarks IE 9 against all the major alternatives. Basic conclusion is they are all about the same in performance now except for IE9 64 bit which is noticably slower. It probably really depends on thetype of sites you visit. Ted, I asuume you don't see a big difference in IE9 64 bit vs 32 bit because the sites you visit don't use much Java script.
Personally, I would pick a browser now based on the user interface and functionality you like rather than obsessing about performance any more.

I've installed the 64-bit version of IE9, but when I try to install the 32-bit version I get the following error message: "Wrong version of Internet Explorer installer. This version of setup doesn't support your Windows system type (32-bit/64-bit)." My OS is Win7 pro 64-bit. After I installed Win7 both 32-bit and 64-bit IE8 were part of the installation and got along fine. Are the two versions of IE9 incompatible with each other? Or do I need a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of IE9?
The 64 Bit version includes both the 64 Bit version and the 32 Bit version. You should see 2 icons for IE on the Start Orb, All programs. (Internet Explorer (64 Bit) and Internet Explorer)

So Ted, what you are saying is that if IE9 is installed on a 64 bit system it will also have a 32bit installed also and you can make a choice what to use like you could do in IE8 ??
If so, I like that...
