    Full path needed for INCLUDEPICTURE (Word 2000)

    I'm trying to insert and link graphics in Word so that the whole file path appears in quotation marks after the INCLUDEPICTURE command in the code statement. I often get just a relative path--either just the graphic name or the graphic name plus its directory. I'd also like the drive name to appear. How can ensure this will happen?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Bob,

    Can you rephrase the problem and/or what you need to get it to do? - hard to tell from your post. (I may not know the answer anyway <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>, but perhaps someone else will!)

    Sometimes the path comes up:

    {INCLUDEPICTURE "CirectoryFile.gif" * MERGEFORMAT}

    while other times it comes up:

    {INCLUDEPICTURE "DirectoryFile.gif" * MERGEFORMAT}

    or

    {INCLUDEPICTURE "File.gif" * MERGEFORMAT}

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Most likely it depends on which directory you're looking at when you create it - if your in that very directory, you'll get just the name; in the same drive but different directory, you'll get just the part of the path that's different; in a completely different drive and it'll put in the whole lot.

    At least, that's the only thing I can think of. HTH
