punctuation gets messed up: Windows Live Mail 2011

Hello, Loungers; I'm new here. Got a funny thing happening and can't understand why. I use Windows Live Mail 2011 and one correspondent uses Eudora 7. When I email him, at least some of the punctuation gets garbled.

The attached image shows an example. Any ideas?

I tried using a different font but that did not fix it.

    Thanks!

Is this the only person you have a problem with? Has he tried a different mail client just to see if the problem is with his Eudora 7 rather than your WLM?

Thanks for that, Ted. When I told "Don" that I was posting the question here, he dug into it as well and found the problem. Here is what he wrote:

"Yes, I use Eudora 7 and found a full *explanation* here: http://ask-leo.com/why_do_i_get_odd_...documents.html
One of the comments there said:
Very helpful article which enabled me to understand and resolve the problem for my wife who is still using Eudora 7.

For those still using "old" Eudora, there's a nice free plugin that will convert received UTF-8 emails to ISO-8859-1 which is what Eudora understands. You can even put a button for the plugin in the button bar so it's easy to use when you hit a message with odd characters.

Thanks for letting us know the problem was on his end.
