My Menu Favorites In IE 9---Not McDonalds...

In IE 8 when I had IE8 Menu and Favorites on they were displayed under each other.
In IE9 they are displayed side by side...

I would like them to display under each other like in IE8...

Is there a way to have them under each other rather then side by side ?

The new layout is similar to Chrome. The favorites now reside on the right side of the rowser window. I do not believe it is possible to change this portion of the layout.

Do you mean the Menu Bar and the Favorites Bar? On my system the Favorites bar is displayed under the Menu bar.

Open up the favorites menu (to the right), you'll notice the arrow pointing left, ...hit it.
Unfortunately, if you close it you will have to redo it.

Banyarola, can you post a pic showing what you are describing. I guess it must be too early because I do not understand, I must be dense this am. Never mind, I see now. I have the Menu bar disabled because the Command bar is similar to it. I belive if you right click on an empty space and disable the Command bar and Enable the Menu Bar you will have what you wish.

    Command BarNoMenuBar.jpg

I choose the Command Bar instead of Menu Bar because it leaves a little more real estate on my window.

    Here's a pic...
As you can see they are side by side.
The Favotites bar is on the left and the Command bar is on the right.

In my original post I meant the command bar, not the menu bar.
I want them above each other like I had in IE8 with the Favorites bar ABOVE the Command bar

If your toolbars are unlocked you should be able to "grab" the menu bar and move above the favorites bar. Then lock the toolbars.

Joe, it's unlocked and I can't move it.

    How do you move it?

I must be doing something wrong...

I also had to disable the WOT toolbar and the Last Pass toolbar, and the add ons for both, and at that point the Command Bar was able to be dragged above the Favorites BAr. I then re-enabled the Last Pass toolbar and add on. However, when I re-enabled the Last Pass and WOT toolbars and add ons, I could not get them to occupy oposites ends of the same toolbar as they had previously. They now also resided above each other. This took too much space. I will have to keep playing to see If I can get these 2 addons under control. If not good-bye WOT as I use Last Pass each time I open a browser or fill a form.

    Modified layout for IE9 Toolbars

Here is the final result after some further manipulations. I was able to move things around but had to disable a couple of my toolbars and addons temporarily to accomplish it. Now I have to figure out how to get my text labels back for my favorite bar.

    FinalLayoutToolbarsIE9.jpg

Last Pass and WOT are 2 add on toolbars I have installed. They had to be temporarily disabled to allow me to move things where I wamted. You may not have them on your browser.

To move it, while the Toolbars are unlocked, left click and hold on the divider line and drag it where you want it.

Well, what you did is what I want to do.

I just don't understand how disabling add ons helps move the command bar.

Because with the add ons enabled I was finding it difficult to physically place the Command Bar where I wanted it. Perhaps it's my older, unsteady hand, who knows. When I disabled the 2 toolbars, I was able to place the Command Bar where I wanted, then I re-enabled the 2 toolbars and was able to put them where I wanted them.

I can't even move the command bar..
How exactly did you move it?
I don't see any handles on it like there were on IE8..
