    Must have administrator privileges

I'm using Windows Vista and I'm using Superantispyware (SAS). Recently when I start my computer I get a pop up window saying that I should update SAS. There is a hyperlink to the update which works fine in my WinXP machines. But when I click the link in Vista I get a message that using the link requires an account with Administrator privileges. I'm the only user of this machine and I supposedly have Administrator privileges. What does this program want?? I can update the program if I go into safe mode but who needs that constantly? Anyone have a solution?

Try to download the file, then right click the file and choose Run as Administrator. Just using an Administrator account does not give top level privileges, you must Run as Administrator to gain those rights.

I have had this problem too, if you click on help and go to the website it gives you a link to remove the old version, reboot and reload the program this has done it for me.

Hi Rockslaxman, welcome to the lounge.
If your referring to SAS, I use the portable version.
