    Keyboard stopped Insert/Overwrite function

My Windows XP, Service Pack 3 runs with a Logitech USB keyboard, model Y-SV39. A few days ago, the Insert/Overwrite key function stopped working. It's stuck in Insert mode, and I don't know how to restore the Overwrite option. Help, please.

Answering my own question -- Logitech, the maker of the keyboard, has a nice Support section at its website. Troubleshooting indicated that the keyboard driver might be corrupted. So, after removing the keyboard from my hardware list, then adding it back, with several restarts, the driver reinstalled itself. That seemed to restore Insert/Overwrite for my email program (Outlook Express 6). But MS Word 2007 was still not responding. Poking around in the Word Options, I found the setting in the Advanced listing. How it got turned off will be a mystery, but now the function is working correctly. All is well for today.
