    802.11n

It's now 2011 and 802.11n should be out there for use. I googled .11n and everything hinted that draft n was already complete and out there. I looked at my router, which had the ability to go up to 300 Mbps. My netbook is just a couple years old, running XP pro SP3 and still maxes out at 54Mbps.

If N is is use, is the 54Mbps limitation a hardware or software issue and how do I fix it?

If draft N isn't done, when will it be done?

    TIA

You should make sure you have the most current firmware for your router. Also, you need to check and make sure your wireless NIC supports "N". If your wireless NIC supports "N" make sure you have the most current drivers for it. If your wireless NIC does NOT support "N" you need to get a new NIC.
