Mail Address - United States of America

    Good morning all....

When I put an address down for a contact there will be times that I go back to that contact and it has "United States of America" in the address field. How do I stop that from happening?

    Thank you in advance,

    Charlie

The address could have been picked up from an email you received, not sent.
Is the extra text in the description or the email address - right click and select Properties?

    cheers, Paul

I have seen that in Outlook 2003 as well. If you just type or paste the address as lines of text outlook parses it into address, city, state, country etc., fields. If it gets it wrong and thinks the country field is blank it will sometimes helpfully fill in United States of America for you. My PC is set up with location, time zone etc in Hong Kong, but Outlook did not seem to recognise that.
