    Field Formatting (Word 2000)

I've suddenly developed an odd formatting problem with a standard "fillin" field in a Word template. For some reason, after update the font shifts from 11 pt. to 10 pt. There are no "charformat" commands in the field, and no VBA code related to font formatting attached. Anyone seen this before???

I don't use this kind of field, but what is the underlying normal font? Perhaps the surrounding text was bumped up from 10pt to 11pt using direct formatting, but the field does not take that kind of change and just uses the default normal font size??

    Re: Field Formatting (Word 2000)

Actually, that might do the trick. I've used these fields for years in hundreds of templates I've created and never seen this problem. I can also usually force any formatting I want on the field by using the "*charformat" switch, but that also won't seem to work with this one template. Nevertheless, the underlying Normal font is 10pt. I'm going to try that next.

    Thanks for the tip. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
