    Permission Needed

I have over125MB of .wmv (Windows Media Player) files. I tried to delete them and the following message appeared and I was prevented from doing so:

"You need permission to perform this action from Trusted Installer to make changes to this file." I went to properties and tried to give myself (as Administrator) full control but received a warning message from Microsoft that doing this could adversely affected the stability of the computer.

I need help getting permission from the right source. Who in the heck is the Trusted Installer?

"Trusted Installer" is a service. See the "Trusted Installer" section at Technet Magazine.

Any file owned by "Trusted Installer" should not be deleted. It is considered part of Windows.

Hi Gloria, .wmv are video files. The files should be in your libraries music folder, try deleting them there.
