Right-Click File Send-to Email Stays Open After Send

    Windows 7
    Outlook 2010

    1. On the desktop, right-click a file (e.g., a PDF)
    2. Select Send-to > Mail recipient > The email message opens with the file attached
    3. Click send to send the email
    4. Email stays open after send (the email also appears in Sent Items)

How can I ensure that the email closes after sending?

    Thanks for your help,

    JoeK

Sometimes I find that MAPI messages in Outlook 2003/Windows XP do nothing when I click Send. In those cases, I save the message and it appears at the top of the Inbox (instead of in Drafts). Then I can open and send it normally. I haven't seen the behavior you describe. Sounds as though they partially fixed the old problem, but in a somewhat dysfunctional way.

Having this same issue with many users on right click send attachment as well as sending from open Word document as attachment. Did you ever find resolution?
