    Sound Distortion

Hi Loungers, when on my Win7 desktop, I usually listen to my music using Winamp while exploring etc. If I start a program that requires UAC permission, the sound crackles. UAC is at default setting. Everything AFAIK is upto date.
Same occurs if I am using Media Player Classic, included with K Lite codec pack.

Good morning (here) RR. I have UAC turned off completely. I am proactive with my Security, and like you use an Imaging/cloning app to back up my system. With my security at optimum, I don't feel I need the extra protection of UAC. I would NOT recommend this for the average user, but for those who are cognizant of security and are proactive with their security, this does not create a problem for me.

Hi Ted, I changed UAC by moving slider down one level, now the crackling has stopped.
2 of my security apps are Winpatrol free and Outpost FW Pro.
