Color style compatibility issue with IE9, rgb function

In IE6, IE7, and IE8, a color specification such as

    rgb(253.07,123.19,87.3)

i.e. the rgb function with float numbers from 0 through 255, works. In IE9, the resulting color is has no relationship to the numbers, that I can readily discern. Since making that discovery, I find on

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...S.85).aspx#rgb

that a specification of 0 through 255 is only supposed to consist of integers, so this is only a matter of loss of fault-tolerance.

With each version, IE's rendering rules become a bit stricter, and certain conveniences (cheats) fall by the wayside. I'm sure this is not the only one that will trip up web developers.
