    problem with Indexing

I have a problem with Indexing in W7 Home Premium.

Under Control Panel/Indexing Options/Change How Windows searches,
Internet Explorer History shows up as "included."

If I do a "modify" and uncheck Internet Explorer History so that it's not included, when I reboot it comes back as included.

Does anyone know how to permanently fix this so it's not included?

    Thanks,
    Dick

Hi Dick, just for my curiosity, how often do you use the search feature ? On my pc's its disabled, and helps them to run faster.

    Hi Roderunner:
As my brain cells die I find I use it 2 or 3 times a week.
    What was the question?

    Hi Roderunner:
I solved my problem; and 1 part of it had to do with IE history.
I unchecked "delete browsing history on exit, under Tools, Internet options.
Then, I deleted and rebuilt my index, having ticked only what I wanted to have indexed.
It took a while to rebuild the index; and then I rebooted, and Internet Explorer History no longer came back.
    Thanks for your help,
    Dick
