    Question Mozilla Thunderbird

I have Windows XP Professional SP3. I deleted an old version of Thunderbird
to install V3.1.9. It appears to install OK but I cannot open it. I have
tried several re-installs but no success. I would welcome any help. Thanks.

Hi Sycamore, I personally have never liked TB for the simple reason I could not import my contacts and it looked amateurish. I, thought to my self one day to try TB Portable, that way I would'nt upset the applecart, and it still is amatuerish but works. If your still intent in using TB, re install it then remove it using Revo Uninstaller Portable.

I had the same problem and did like RR suggested.

RR, I had no problem importing my old Outlook Express contacts and mail.
Matter of fact, it importing so much old stuff it took me awhile to clean it up.

I miss OE, I may d/l the trial of Outlook mail and see how that works...

The contacts I was attempting to import to TB were from Hotmail & Gmail.
The only reason I have Hotmail is to sign in to WL Mail, then it automatically adds email addresses, and only use Gmail.

Oh, I never needed to import Gmail and I don't use WLM..
I use Gmail mostly to subscribe to things so most spam ends up there...

I don't care to have my email at the mercy of some server.

By Sycamore Thank you all for the replies. I have decided to dispense with Thunderbird.
