Question Deleting the search history in Windows Explorer

I am running Windows 7 (64bit) When I do a search in Windows explorer the last several items in my previous searches appear when I click in the search window. Since my PC is accessed by other members of my family they can see what I have been searching for. I have private files in a protected folder that I do not want them to see. This seems like a major privacy issue with Windows 7. Are there any settings I can use to prevent these search items from appearing? I have looked under folder settings but can't find anything. Right clicking the search window does not bring up a "delete history" choice.

A Google Search shows several options to do just this.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been using ccleaner for a long time but hoped to find a more permanent solution. Other applications and browsers allow you to avoid saving any history but not Win Explorer. I also wanted to avoid altering the registry. I'll just have to remember to use ccleaner frequently.
