    Width of shared borders (2000)

    Hi,

How can I control the width of the right shared border in my web?

I managed to delete the "whatever text you put in here will appear on all pages" text and it shrunk down to be almost non-existent.

If I add in text, it grows to the width of the longest word, but won't allow me to control the width in any way. I'm sure this is straight forward, but can't work it out myself.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    A couple of thoughts
    1) you can format the text you type in the border. Obviously the smaller the font - the smaller the border will shrink to.
    2) insert a fixed width table into the border and work inside that.

    Cheers

    Thanks Catharine.

I think I'll go with the table option. I do think it's a surprising omission.
