Windows installer starts on boot up.

On boot up on my Vista machine, the Window Installer automatically is starting up but hangs asking to install a file that's missing "from a network resource" (the dialog box is asking to browse for the file). How can I stop this from happening. There's nothing in the Startup folder and I've cleaned out the registry using CCleaner.

    Any suggestions?

Hi dolsen, welcome to the lounge.
Connect all items you use on your PC, and make sure they are powered ON, reboot then follow any pop up info that shows.

    Check History

In the control panel>security>windows update>view update history look for any updates that were unsuccessful and retart any that failed.
