    Font colors in Windows Explorer

Is there any key to the meaning of the different colors for file and folder names in Windows 7 Explorer? I have red, dark blue, light blue, mauve and green I was always under the impression that dark blue meant that the file had been compressed after a period of inactivity, but how does this apply to folder names? I have many folder names that are dark blue, but all the file names inside them are black. Red files and folders appear to have at least two meanings - junctions, or files/folders that are protected in some way. Is there any definitive documentation to this? Thank you.

I am not sure what you are refering to with the different colors. Could you post a pic with an example?
