I have tried to search for this in various ways on Google, but came up short, so was hoping someone on here might be able to help.

Basically, I am getting random truncation of even extremely short file names in many different folder views and it is really annoying. As an example, I have a folder on my desktop now, called "stick". Even when I click on it, all I see is sti...

WHY!!!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME XP!!!!

The interesting thing is that I only ever see it being this aggressive with the truncation on this one machine, where I have the icon font set to Calibri. Changing it to Arial for example fixes the issue. My question is, can I keep Calibri (cos I like it!) and still see my file names! It's probably a registry hack, but it would be interesting to know why it does this too (although I suspect it has to do with how wide the font is perceived to be within Windows).

Anyway, any help appreciated!
