    Login/Password Info Not Filling Automatically

I am using Vista and IE 9.

Some web sites that I visit/use, require a User Id and password to enter. Prior to my recent installation of IE 9, Vista would fill these passwords and Ids by clicking the empty boxes.

After installing IE 9, when I go to these sites I can no longer get an automatic fill of my User IDs and passwords. I have looked everywhere for some setting that will activate the automatically filling again, but so far I have found nothing that helps.

I am hoping that one of you gurus could suggest what I am missing.
    Thanks for your consideration.

I have never been a fan of IE after finding Firefox. IE usually likes you to enter the first letter of your username then click the down arrow and hit enter twice, but does not always work.

When entering the user name and password, have you checked the "Remember password check box?

Also, did you by chance decline the use of saving accounts and passwords when the first pop up appeared after install IE 9?
The setting is in ""Tools, Internet options" then Content tab and the Auto Settings.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I believe the 3rd party password managers are more secure than the browser password manager. I use Last Pass and really like it.

Thanks DaveA, I have it working now. And thanks Tedshemyers for the tip on Last Pass. I'm going to try it.
