    Removing Attachments

Hello, Gotta question about removing attachments from emails. I know that I can double click on my message and then right click on the attachment and select "Remove" to get rid of the attachment and save space in my emailbox. But, what happens to that attachment when I "remove" it? It doesn't end up in my Recycle Bin. Is it permanently deleted or is there a way to recover it? Thanks in advance.

Most likely it is permanently deleted. If you would be interested in a macro solution to archive attachments from messages to the hard drive, check out this post:

    Outlook Attachment Removal Manager

Reading further down in that thread, that macro might have issues with Outlook 2007-2010. I can't recall whether John has updated it.
