    Unrecognized Database format error (VB6 SP5/A2K SR1)

I have been trying to get a VB6 app to open an Access 2000 file. Previously (from 1997 'til now) the app has worked fine with a Access 97 file. I have converted the file to A2K and also tried creating a fresh new Access file and both importing the existing tables and creating new identical tables but no luck. I have found documentation that talks about DAO 3.51/3.6. I have changed the reference in my project from DAO 3.51 to DAO 3.6. I still can't open the file as it comes back with error "Unrecognized Database Format...." There was something else in the docs about Jet 4.0 but I understand that this is installed with Access 2000. I am running MDAC 2.5 (not sure if this has any impact). I have also made sure that the name autocorrect is disabled and also subdata sheets set to none in the tables. Does anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Mark Santos

Sorry everybody, I found the issue. You must select "Access 2000" under the connect property of any data object that is connecting to an A2k file.
