    Storing Data (VB6)

    In conjunction woth my last post. How can I keep data in an EXE file such that the next time a user opens the EXE file they have access to their previous information IF they would like to.

    What kind of data are you talking about? You basically have two choices: use a Jet mdb or write the data to a text file and then reload it from the text file the next time the program is run. If you're only talking about a few pieces of information, the text file is faster and simpler to maintain.

    A third option is the registry, which stores both text and binary, but a mishap would be much more damaging than in a text file or MDB.
