    Missing/lost Outlook folder

Hi, I'm new to the Lounge. I had all of my Windows Secrets emails going back to when it was Langalist in one folder. Today my computer locked up & just prior told me the it could not transfer to the windows secret folder. On rebooting, the folder is gone.

I do have backups, but I'm hoping there is another way.

    Thanks,

    Darin

    P.S. It's Outlook 2003 running on Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit

I'd make another backup and run the Inbox Repair Tool, ScanPST.exe to see whether it recovers the missing folder. If you search here for scanpst hopefully you can find advice on where it is located on your combination of Office + Windows.

Thank you for your suggestion. It did find errors & repaired them, but did not return the folder. If you have any other suggestions, they would be appreciated.

If the folder is still not present you should restore the pst file from a backup. If you copy or move the current PST file before the restore you should be able to "merge" the two files by opening the moved data file in Outlook and then using drag & drop.
