    Question IE9 revert to IE8

I installed IE9 but reverted to IE8 (using system restore) because my long list of "Favourites" had disappeared under IE9. So much for an improvement!

I've not seen this on any PC that I've updated to IE9. The UI part of IE9 has changed but nothing was deleted.

Do you mean not visible or deleted?

Could you find them with Windows Explorer?

I have my favorites all in named folders (i.e) 01 Computing, 02 Entertainment, etc. and when I installed to final version from RC, I lost a folder too and all of its web pages. Luckily I had a back up and just drug it over. Don't know what caused it, and sorry I didn't even research it.
    Thanks John

    I

I simply downloaded and installed IE9 and immediately noticed that the "Favourites" list was not showing. I did not trying searching for it as I assumed that this upgrade to IE9 simply did not have the "Favourites" facility. It may well have been hidden in the depths somewhere but I simply decided that as IE8 had served me perfectly well ever since I installed it I would not bother trying to 'learn' IE9.

    IE9 certainly has Favorites.

"Press" the small STAR on the right side of the address bar. Then "press" the small arrow if you wish to pin the Favorites.

Also, press the ALT key to temporarily display the menu bar. "Favorites" is still any entry there. If you want the menu bar to be display permanently press Alt the click on View | Toolbars | Menu Bar.

I think you'll find IE9 to be faster and more reliable than IE8.
